Playing With Plastic

Chinet Cup

It cracked when baked. I used permanent markers to doodle a quick, and sloppy (!) design. I'm really not good at doodling!

Later I will be visiting the Dollar Store or grocery store to find plastic that might work better.

If I didn't have to go back to work right now I could continue to play! I want to try using a rubber stamp for the design too. I like the ones where they use embossing powder.

Have a great day! See you soon!

WOW!!! It cracked?!?!? I've never seen that happen before! Now I'm tempted to go scouring through my stash of plastics to see what I have that can be shrunk!

I didn't look up what temp etc, I only saw people using the heat guns. Maybe it's easier to control the melt that way? Looks like Michaels crafts has a 50% off coupon this week. Might be a good time to grab one.

Kathi, you will probably be happier if you use the real shrink plastic that is meant to be heated. It comes out flat and never cracks. You can use any kind of coloring agent on that. I have never had that crack at all. Also, you can use regular paper punches on it to "drill" the holes. I think that you can still get that at Michaels too.
